Hi, I’m Liz
You could say I’m definitely a dog person. I am a Lincoln native, and after a year in Seattle, I returned home to the good life. At age three, my dad brought home a Yellow Labrador, who became an accomplished hunter, as well as a cart and tricks dog. I have been obsessed with working dogs ever since!
By the start of high school, I was responsible for three dogs, two birds, and a horse (and all of them ended up well behaved….except the birds.) I graduated from UNL with a bachelors in Psychology and Sociology, giving me insight into animal and human behavior that help me educate dogs and owners alike. After graduation, I was eager to expand my knowledge of the dog world, and trained in a variety of dog sports including agility, flyball, treibball, barn hunt, nose work, tricks, rally obedience, and weight pull. I also managed a dog boarding facility for several years, and have experience at a local vet clinic.
My current best friend is The Bear Dog, who has dabbled in a variety of sports, and earned his CGC, Community Canine Award, and various trick titles. I am also working my rescue lab, Tucker, towards a therapy dog certification.
